Emotional pain is when you are just a kid and you try on some clothes that you see hollywood actresses or just people wear and you like it simply because it looked stunning on them and you come to realize that when you look into the mirror that it doesn't suit you...that's sometihng that will truly hurt a kid, maybe also another example is the stereotype of beauty. Nowadays when someone says a person is beautiful, she must be 1) tall 2) VERY pretty (like that of a goddess) AND 3) skinny. Since that is NOT true for anyone more and more people try and look like that and it in the end who just hurt yourself, you try so hard to be so perfect that you don't even realize that you WERE already BEAUTIFUL as you were, flaws and all! No one in this world is a PERFECT image of beauty, because who decides beauty? We, as UNIQUE individuals each have out own perception of a beautiful person, to one she may be beautiful but to another she may just look average. And if a person can't accept her own beauty it causes so much pain to a person, especially if everytime that she will look at herself in the mirror all she sees is an ugly person...it truly hurts because i have had this pain, waking up everymorning and thinking to yourself how unspecial and ugly you are, its not a nice thing to do, thankfully i stopped.
Mental pain is best seen in ANOREXIC, BULIMIC and people who binge eat, just to binge throw up. It's in these situations that you see how DAMAGING all these media of what beauty should be does to a person!
And as for being a pain in the pocket, well obviosuly beauty, most of them cost a lot of money!
Who's to say what beautiful and not? Have we become that arrogant to think that we can judge others? I truly feel so sorry and sad for our current condition in the world... Do you seriously want EVERYONE to be ANOREXIC? ALWAYS vomiting? crying because they feel that they aren't thin enough? How can you truly know if someone is beautiful if you haven't even met them and had a real conversation to get to know them. Beauty has always been defined by physical appearance, but that's not how it should be, it shoulf be based on both physical and internal beauty, someone who is truly beautiful is someone with beauty in and out, someone who has a heart like gold, someone who's smile can brighten up anyone's day, someone who is simply someone who can make people smile, that's what TRUE beauty should be! You know how they say that beauty and brains make up the PERFECT woman, thats not always the case, what if she is both beautiful and smart but she has awful manners, no sense of responsibilty, never smiles, hates people, and in short an awful person...would you still think of that person as someone who you would want to get to know more? of course NOT unless you are just using her...but still thats BAD! But there are a lot of girl who have beauty and brains and have an amazing personality, maybe to others she's not like Megan Fox pretty, but still she is pretty. No one in this world was born ugly remember that, its we ourselves who make us ugly (surgery, botox, all that want to be perfect but in the end just making a monster out of yourslef...). I dare you, LOOK at yourself in the mirror, and look at another person who you think is beautiful and compare the both of you, compare both of your flaws, trust me both of you will have flaws, its just the matter of how you accept them, and how happy you are with your own self, that's just the difference!
So don't go on about your day and not tell yourself you're not beautiful because you are! And if you see a friend who's down about herself tell her the truth...tell her that she IS beautiful and that she shouldn't let someone tell her how to feel about herself, in the end it's all about how you feel about yourself and how confident you are in your own skin, that's what beauty is, its how empowered you are with your NATURAL beauty, how appreciative you are of it, and how you use it not to let others envy you, but for others to realize that they too are beautiful.
So at the end of the day, go look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself: you know what?, i am beautiful, i have NATURAL beauty, none of those weirdo cosmetics beauty, i am proud to be how i was born, i am proud to be me, i am beautiful and no one can ever take that and my intelligence away from me.
